environmental protection reasons, diving is forbidden here but a boat ride with a visit
to Kammersee (origin of the Traun River) is recommended. This is sure to be a special
holiday experience. (Caution is advised regarding the return trip, for you must overcome
a pass height of 993 m above sea level - deco danger!)
Wolfgangsee: (540 m above sea level), Distance to Attersee ~ 18 km.
Recommended: only for a dive or as a whole-day excursion. Wolfgangsee in the area
of St. Gilgen offers two extraordinary diving spots.
Mondsee: (540 m above sea level) Distance to Attersee ~ 2 km. Mondsee is usually
not as clear as Attersee, and therefore distinctly darker. However, it offers very interesting
diving possibilities in the areas of Kreuzstein, Kienbergwand and Harnischwand.
